Lastly, it seems a good thing in a lot of cases, to read the first book in a series before moving on, but this book can stand alone. Lestat in the second book (his book LOL) is much more engaging, interesting, and. However, after reading a few pages, I decided to read it - so VERY glad I did. Something to consider is that The Vampire, Lestat is written from Lestat's point of view, whereas, IWAV is written from Louis' viewpoint. ![]() ![]() That being said, I don't think it's necessary to read IWAV first. ![]() Also, this is one of my absolute favorite books, and Lestat just might be my favorite character of any book I've read.
